Crisp
imsafer
imsafer is produced by the award winning child safety experts Crisp
who are members of the Internet Watch foundation, the UK Council for
Child Internet Safety and the Family Online Safety Institute.
imsafer is a new type of parental control, exclusively designed
to monitor a child’s conversations online, only providing
parents with a snippet if an alert is triggered by the conversation
providing signs of cyber bullying, suicidal thoughts or self harm,
or if dangerous grooming attempts are made.
- It is endorsed by the UK charity BeatBullying who provide cybermentor
support to any imsafer users who are targeted by bullies, plus New
Scotland Yard have also added their support behind the company.
- Cambridge University have independently tested it and found
it to be 98.4% in identifying genuine alerts so parent’s needn’t
worry about any false alarms.
- Parents can set up multiple accounts if they have more than
one child, while consideration to the child’s privacy is given
as only conversations which trigger an alert will be disclosed to
the parent
