| Party Games
Suitcase. This is a fun game for a group of kids. It is a memory
game. The first child starts off "I packed my suitcase and
in it I put a pair of flipflops"
The next child then says "I packed my suitcase and in it I
put a pair of flipflops and a jar of jam"
Next child repeats and adds an item to the list. The game continues
and each child that gets it wrong sites out until there is a winner!
Sausages
A phrase is picked "smelly socks" or "silly sausages"
or "tricky toffee" and one child is chosen to answer questions
from everyone else only using that phrase and keeping a straight
face. When they giggle they're out and someone else is chosen. You
could work from a list of silly phrases or make them up as you go
along
Game goes:
How many teeth do you have?"
"Silly sausages"
"Whats your favourite dinner?"
"Silly sausages"
Whats your best subject at school?"
"Silly sausages"
"What does your teacher like to sing"
"Silly sausages"
Tower Block Living
A bit like suitcases
"On the ground floor of the tower lived Mr Higgins and his
silly dog"
The child repeats this and adds a resident of the floor above
Continue until someone gets it wrong!
Musical Statues
The old games are the best! You need a cd player which can pause
(or a tape player) and some funky up to date music that the kids
love. The birthday child's favourite group should go down well.
everyone dances until the music stops and then everyone has to stand
still. Anyone moving has to sit out and the next round starts until
there is one winner.
Encourage the kids to hop on one foot and move round loads for maximum
wobbles.
