Don't forget Silly Jokes have a free guide to throwing
a pirate party, loads of brilliant accessories like eye patches and hats
to make sure your pirate party goes with a roar!
Decorating for a pirate party.
Can you make a skull and cross bones flag?
Pirate gold -chocolate coins - very handy,
Palm trees - always useful.
Balloons - very piratey colours are red, black and gold.
Try and make a chest out of a cardboard box - you might need two to fix
together to make a hinge. Paint it brown and put thick darker bands on
it to represent the iron bits that keep chests together.
If you can get a huge box (something that a fridge of washing machine
comes in) then you could go mad and make a ship!
Make a helm - with a ships wheel - cut out from a couple of layers of
cardboard
Decorate with skull and crossbones on the walls.
Use cardboard tubes to make telescopes - a coupld of tubes of different
sizes fixed together and painted black!

for years!
Pirate invites

Print out invites and fill in the name date and location of the party.
If you're feeling adventurous you can burn round the edge of the paper
to give an oldey map feel to it and then stain them yellow with weak tea
- Watch the printer ink doesn't run though!

Pin the tail on the parrot - or pin the beak on the parrot.
Print or draw a big parrot and colour it in. Separate the beak or tail
- your choice
Stick it to a cork board and then fix some bluetack or a drawing pin to
the beak/tail and then blindfold the kids and get them to try and pin
it on! Spinning the child round 3 times is traditional!
